The Pirate Bay

The pirate's bay! Well I´ve decided to dedicate more and more time & effor to my paintings lately, until I am satisfied, and I try to go on further detail as much as I can, color balance and aesthetics, just to make sure everything looks good. It's hard to be one's own critic sometimes, without getting attached to the piece or identifying with the thoughts "it's not good yet!" and not letting myself think "you are not good yet!" hehe. Been working on that for a while, but if I push the envelope further, I get results. Though I know I need A LOT to develop still, but I'm on my way!

I once saw a documentary in Discovery about a Crystal Cave in Mexico, whose crystals were 3 meters high, gigantic things! This sketch I did about a fairy that lives within the crystals. I did it about a year ago, and a few days ago I did a revision of it. 

Saturday Lefty Hand Sketches

Damn!! It´s really hard using my other hand to sketch, specially STRAIGHT lines.
Almost impossible, but it gives the whole composition a look I couldn´t quite get
with my right hand. #$%*! I wish I learned how to use my left hand before.
I still have a long way to go before I can provide the portfolio I wish to have but
I'm working everyday towards it.

I like the last one best.

Mini Ninja

My latest night doodle. I have been experimenting with my left hand lately (I use my right), and I´ve been experiencing amazing results. This might not be a glorious one, but it breaks down with my regular scheme and patterns, allowing some space for new things to arise. For sue I´m going lefty! been practicing everyday.
